All About Maddie's Pack
training for everyday
Maddie's Pack, LLC was established with one main goal--to create a reliable space to help dogs and their humans realize the full potential of their relationship, through fair and thoughtful training methods.
At Maddie's Pack, we stay open-minded to the best methods and tools for each individual dog in front of us. We believe in using a) positive reinforcement and motivators to create, reward, and shape behaviors we want to see, b) leadership, engagement and structure to improve confidence and develop relationship, while c) also setting clear expectations for unacceptable behaviors as fairly and softly as possible.
Not all dogs (and humans!) learn the same way, and finding the approach that works best for the dog before us is an important part of our training philosophy. For that reason, we are open to the fair and appropriate use of all tools if we believe they are best-suited to our client, and have experience in using a wide variety of training tools (including, but not limited to, transitional leash, halti/head collars, prong and starmark collars, high quality e-collars, martingale collars, and slip leads).
About Me
learning and re-learning to cherish the sacred bond between pup and person
My dog journey began 6 years ago when I fell in love with a floofy-tailed ice-blue-eyed mutt, who led me to the world of dog rescue. Thanks to very special people at Last Hope K9 Rescue and Rescue Road, I met my soulmutt and heart dog, Maddie, who has been my sidekick for the last 5 years as we welcomed all sorts of foster dogs and boarding clients into our home. My passion for saving dogs evolved seamlessly into training dogs, so that all pups who are lucky enough to know love can also develop trust in us, gain confidence, be challenged to their full potentials, and enrich our lives.
